I bought both of my kids a gateway laptop. The hard drive on my daughters crashed after 2 days.

My sons crashed on day 5. Tech support tells me that I have to pay to send them in to be fixed or I can purchase a system fix. Wtf? I will never buy another gateway computer again.

$800 just flushed down the toilet. These computers are still under warranty. I've researched the issue and found that A LOT of people are having this problem. That means the laptops were defective before they were sold.

I would have thought such a reputable company would want to repair these laptops rather than lose customers. Guess I was wrong.

Monetary Loss: $800.
